Hand cut so it is crunchy in the soup.
Yes Uzokwe, the crunchiness is very important.
Blending oo. No suffer suffer.
lol @ no suffer suffer! Okra is sure a hard job, especially that slimy thingy sticking to one’s fingers.
A
Hand cut
It depends on what I want to use it for.if I want to make okra and ugwu, then the answer is”A”.if i’m using with my ogbonor,or with stew the answer is “B”
Abigail that’s right. I also find that for the okra and stew combo, it is better to use grated okra for that.
Grated
I prefer the hand cut okra because your can easily cut it to want suits you.
Sure Nina, with the other methods we don’t have that luxury. I have heard someone mention blending the okra with the pulse button so that it is not such a smooth blend. Still, I will never go the blended okra route. 😉
Handcut
Hand cut but in yoruba style we crush it on the grinding stone
Adefemi I hope to see that grinding stone one day. Someone mentioned it on FB. Is it still commonly used by the current generation?
I prefer hand cut okra
Hand Cut
Hand cut
I prefer grated its cool
I prefer grated it will not be too tiny or big, I love to see the seeds inside
Esther really, one man’s meat is another man’s ponmo. I don’t mind baby seeds in okra but the big ones? I once bought this strange type of okra that looked good on the outside but the seeds were so fat, I sat down and removed all the seeds! lol I am sure you would have sang alleluia if you were the one that bought that okra. 😀
I like hand-cut, but cannot do the wahala, so I go for grated or blended.
Chai! Mrs No Skin Pain! For me, my dislike for blended okra is more than that of the job of cutting okra.
i always like my Okra big chunks using hand cut so that when it is soft with Ugwu it feels smooth.
